PROBLEMS NOTED

The city of Dakar absorbs more than 70% of the national consumption of the SONES leased perimeter. Current and/or potential tensions on the demand for drinking water require different water mobilization strategies, including major works called KMS3 linking Keur Momar SARR, production site, to Dakar, distribution center.

Furthermore, the execution of the work deserves particular attention with regard to compliance with the implementation of the ESMP for the KMS 3 treatment station and the ALG 3 pipeline and for that of the HT90 KV high voltage line supplying the future KMS 3 factory.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

This project to build a third drinking water treatment plant in Keur Momar SARR includes both a production component, a transfer component and finally a distribution component. The work could only begin with clearance from the Environment Department. The objective of this project is to monitor the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).

SERVICES PROVIDED
