Workshop of the Integrated Flood Management Project in Senegal - PGIIS
As part of the Integrated Flood Management Project in Senegal (PGIIS), EDE International made a strategic contribution by installing and configuring remote monitoring and metrology equipment on drainage infrastructure.
Thanks to these systems, critical points are now monitored in real time, enabling:
- a better understanding of network operation
- flood anticipation
- faster decision-making in crisis situations
EDE also developed preventive and corrective maintenance protocols, as well as crisis management protocols, to provide field personnel with clear and effective procedures for intervening at the right time and in the right place.
A major step forward for ONAS (National Sanitation Office) and for urban resilience: moving from reactive to proactive management, based on data and intelligent monitoring.
EDE continues to support institutions in developing more efficient, safer, and climate-resilient sanitation systems.
